While landscape photographers may find the 100mm wide end of this lens to be a little too narrow at times, the 400mm end is often quite welcome, especially for making distant mountain landscapes large in the frame. I frequently photograph both wildlife and landscapes at the same time, and the range of this lens is great for that. When 400mm isn’t long enough, the teleconverter compatibility of this lens comes in handy. The Sony GM pro-grade build quality is evident in the FE 100-400.
